OnePlus announces Summer Launch event for India: OnePlus Nord successor, new TVs may launch – Times of India

OnePlus, the BBK-owned consumer technology brand, has announced that it will soon hold a ‘Summer Launch Event’ in India.
The company announced this via its official Twitter account but didn’t reveal anything about the upcoming devices or even the launch date.

The tweet includes a link to an Amazon microsite — again with limited information. It has a ‘notify me’ option for you to get constant updates. If you opt for this and head to your marketing subscriptions, you will see the name of the soon to be launched device as the OnePlus Nord CE 5G.

In India, the company has only one handset in the Nord series, while it launched more than one model in the Nord series for other markets.
The moniker OnePlus Nord CE 5G has previously also come up online when tipster Max Jambor had posted on Twitter an image that just says “Nord CE 5G.” With this image, he has shared a text “Nord N1 5G” that is stricken out. The Nord N1 5G, however, didn’t launch in India.
The company has been tight-lipped about the Nord series till now but given the fact that last year the OnePlus Nord was launched in India in July, it’s almost been a year and we may soon see new handsets in the Nord series.
Just yesterday, OnePlus prematurely confirmed the moniker Nord2 on its website. For a brief period of time, the FAQ section in a promotion showed the OnePlus Nord2 name along with several other OnePlus handsets that are official.
The promotion is of a new Stadia Premiere Edition running in the UK, Germany, and France right now and will go on till September 30, implying that the successor to the OnePlus Nord may launch before this date.
It remains to be seen what eventually turns out to be the name of the next OnePlus Nord in India.
OnePlus TVs tipped to launch too
Apart from this official confirmation from OnePlus, tipster Ishan Agarwal has claimed that the company is set to launch the OnePlus U1S LED TV series in India. The series is rumoured to include three display sizes – 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. Expected specifications are 4K resolution support, HDR 10+ support, 30W speakers and more.
