After the OnePlus Nord that launched in 2020, the company has now launched the second smartphone in its Nord series — OnePlus Nord CE 5G. OnePlus calls this the ‘Core Edition’ of the Nord that offers all ‘essential features’ of the OnePlus Nord at an affordable price. Having said that, the new OnePlus Nord CE comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset while the Nord offers a Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset. OnePlus is also supporting limited 5G bands in India for the OnePlus Nord CE 5G which means this phone may not be the best choice for roaming on 5G networks outside India. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G aims to offer a similar experience like the OnePlus Nord at a slightly more affordable price and this time OnePlus has included a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The OnePlus Nords CE 5G will be available starting at a price of Rs 22,999 on Amazon India website and OnePlus estore from June 16, 2021. You can preorder the device starting from June 11. OnePlus is offering gifts worth Rs 2,699 to those who preorder.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G specifications
OnePlus Nord CE 5G offers a 6.43-inch AMOLED punch hole display with a selfie camera on the top left corner. It’s a 90Hz refresh rate panel with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and Full HD+ resolution.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC, Adreno 619 GPU and comes with LPDDR4X RAM in capacities of 6GB, 8GB and 12GB. Storage capacities include 128GB and 256GB. The device runs OxygenOS based on Android 11 operating system. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with OnePlus WarpCharge 30T Plus fast charging with an output of 30W.

On the camera front, there’s a triple camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary Sony IMX 471 sensor along with F1.79 aperture, auto focus, EIS along with 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP mono secondary sensors.
The device supports 4K video recording at 30FPS, 1080P recording at 30 or 60FPS along with support for slow motion video at up to 240FPS at 720P resolution. Note that the device doesn’t support external mics while recording video. For security, there’s Face unlock and fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, dual nano SIM support, NFC along with 4G and 5G support.
