Oppo A58x 5G launched in China: Price, features and more – Times of India

Oppo A58x is now official. Oppo has launched a new A-series smartphone — Oppo A68x in China. The device is powered by the MediaTek chipset and packs a 5000mAh battery.

Oppo A58x is priced at CNY1,200 (approximately Rs 14,500) for the lone 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant. The smartphone comes Breeze Purple, Starry Sky Black, and Tranquility Blue colour variants. Buyers can pre-book the Oppo A58x smartphone starting today (December 14).

Oppo A58x: Specifications
Oppo A58x sports a 6.56-inch HD+ display screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset coupled with Mali G57 MCU. The device packs up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The phone runs Android 12 OS topped with the company’s own layer of ColorOS 12.1.
For imaging duties, the phone houses a dual rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front is home to an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Oppo A58x features a side mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
Connectivity options include– dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Oppo has started rolling out the stable and beta version of ColorOS 13–Oppo’s latest UI– last month. The Chinese smartphone maker has released the ColorOS 13 based on the Android 13 December update across the global markets.
Oppo’s flagship devices– Find X5 and Find X3 series have started receiving the ColorOS 13 update in a few regions. The Reno series is also reportedly receiving the software update. The update is also expected to be rolled out to Oppo’s previous Reno and Find X models. Oppo’s budget and mid-range smartphones will also receive the Android 13 update.
