Oppo is working on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip rival – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Last year an online report revealed that Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi and Google will be launching their foldable smartphones this year. Now a new rumour reveals that Oppo is working on a foldable smartphone that will come with a clamshell design.
The new smartphone from Oppo will compete against Samsung‘s Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone which also sports a clamshell design. A tipster from China shared some of the details about the upcoming foldable smartphone from Oppo.
As per the tipster, this upcoming foldable smartphone from Oppo is said to be a female-focused device. The smartphone is expected to measure around 7-inches when unfolded and is said to measure around 2-inches when folded.
The tipster also claims that this clamshell foldable smartphone will come equipped with an LTPO screen technology. This display technology will make it possible for the handset to support a dynamic refresh rate.
Apart from this, no other details about the smartphone are available yet.
Last month, an online leak revealed that Oppo is working on two foldable smartphones. Both smartphones are said to come with an inward-folding design.
The two foldable smartphones from Oppo will come with an 8-inch and 7-inch display. The foldable smartphone with a 7-inch display reached the mass production stage in January this year. It will also be the first foldable smartphone from Oppo to launch in the market. On the other hand, the 8-inch foldable smartphone is expected to launch later this year.
Apart from a foldable smartphone, Oppo is also said to be working on a portless and button-free smartphone. The prototype of the smartphone reveals that the smartphone will feature an under-display selfie camera and electrochromic tech.
