photoshop: Adobe brings new features to Photoshop for iPad users – Times of India

Content-Aware Fill

In a blog post, Adobe said that Content-Aware Fill is one of the landmark features on Photoshop Desktop. “Today we’re bringing this functionality to Photoshop on the iPad, with an easy one-tap step that takes any selection and uses AI to fill its contents based on its surroundings.” Users can make distracting objects in the background disappear, or blend artefacts smoothly. They can also remove unintended bystanders in your photos, and clear out artefacts and dust, using Adobe’s AI tech.

Remove background from any photo

One of the important tools in Photoshop has been the ability to remove the background on photo. Adobe has added this functionality to Photoshop on iPad. “We’ve brought this one-tap action to Photoshop on the iPad to make your work faster and more accurate. Swap out any background or place your subject within another image seamlessly. Simply open your image and select “Remove Background” under the lasso tool, or under Quick Actions on the right-side properties panel,” noted Adobe in the blog post.

Auto tone, colour and contrast

In the blog post, Adobe said that some of the most common actions Photoshop users take upon opening a photo on Photoshop Desktop are to run some combination of 3 commands — Auto Tone, Auto Contrast, and Auto Color. “These commands will give you one-tap solutions to correct tonal issues or colour imbalances, so that you can take the extra steps out of adjusting your photos and continue on with your work.”
Some of the other features that have been added to Photoshop on iPad are related to fonts. Users can now access all 20,000+ Adobe Fonts directly within the type tool. They can also load their own custom fonts. Other features include renaming your cloud document while editing it, the ability to sync your cloud document on-demand, view pins and annotations left by others on documents you’ve shared from the commenting panel.
