Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour June 2022: Spinarak Shiny Status, Bonuses & More
Pokemon Go’s latest Spotlight Hour will be featuring an all-new Pokemon this week, and players are curious to know more about the shiny status and bonuses for the same.
For the penultimate Spotlight Hour of June 2022, we have Spinarak as the featured Pokemon in the game. The event will be starting off at 6 pm local time and will last for an hour, until 7 pm local time. It should be noted that this is as per the time in your region, so New Zealand players will be getting first, followed by the rest of the regions. During the course of the event, you will be seeing Spinarak more often in the wild. If you don’t have this Pokemon already, or you want to accumulate candies, this is the best time to do so.

Along with that, players will also be getting an event bonus as well, which will be awarding them with twice the XP they normally get while evolving Pokemon. It should be noted that this bonus is not restricted to Spinarak. You can evolve any Pokemon and you will be getting the same bonus, so you should ensure that you are evolving as many as you can to level up really fast.
When it comes to the shiny status of Spinarak, the good news is that the shiny variant of the Pokemon exists in the game. If you have a regular Spinarak, you must be well aware of the fact that it has a green appearance. However, the shiny variant is blue in color, so you should be able to distinguish a shiny one from a regular one pretty easily. While shiny rates aren’t boosted during the event, the chance to get a shiny still gets better when you consider the fact that the Pokemon will be spawning more frequently in the wild.
