pubg new state: PUBG New State crosses 5 million downloads on Google Play Store – Times of India

It’s just been a day since launch and PUBG New State, a new mobile game set in the PUBG universe has seen 5 million downloads on the Google Play Store alone. This is after reports about the build of the game suffering from some bugs have come, with many players not being able to log into their accounts and some who have had game booting issues. It only goes on to show the endearing popularity of the mobile game franchise despite the hiccups it is facing now.
Game developer Krafton has said that it is looking into the matter and has an optional update on Android which should take care of some of the issues people are facing like the game crashes, booting issues, etc.. The update also switches the default graphics API settings to OpenGL ES for devices that don’t support the Vulkan API. There are some stability fixes employed too.
Before the launch, the game had over 40 million pre-registrations on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
PUBG New State is set in the year 2051 in the fictional place called Troi. The game features some futuristic vehicles like the Volta four-wheeler, a new bike called Vulture, and trams that are meant to give shelter to the ones inside it from any attack from the outside. The game is also a visual upgrade to the classic PUBG Mobile with better graphics though the look and the feel of the old game has been retained mostly.
