Earlier, the fee for reappear or improvement under special chance after 2000 batch was Rs 35000 but now it has been raised to Rs 40,000. The current syllabus will be applicable for the candidates who want to appear under this new special chance. The old syllabus will be applicable only for those exams that are not part of the current syllabus. The ‘Odd and Even’ examination rule will be applicable under which reappear examinations for Semester 1, 3 and 5 are held in December and for Semester 2, 4 and 6 in the month of May. According to the Supreme Court ruling, it is mandatory for the students from the 2010 batch to qualify for the ‘Environment and road safety exam and ‘drug abuse’ exams”, said Punjabi University Examination Controller JIS Khattar.
