realme: Realme reportedly working on phone with 2K display, 125W fast charging – Times of India

Realme could be working on a phone in the flagship category with a 2K display resolution and fast charging of over 100 watts, which is likely to be 125 watts, as per a report by Digital Chat Station. The report adds that the smartphone will be launched next year.
Realme, the report says, is working on its own display panel for its upcoming smartphones with a 2K resolution with 2048 × 1080 pixels. The company’s latest phones to be launched have been Realme GT and GT Master Edition. While the Master Edition comes powered by the Snapdragon 778G 5G processor, the Realme GT has got the Snapdragon 888 to power it. The Master Edition comes with an FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Another feature set to help with gaming on the device is the 360Hz Touch Sampling rate. Other features include a 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, 1000nits peak brightness, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 100% DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut.
Coming to the fast charging tech, right now, Oppo is the only one amongst Realme’s rivals from China to have officially launched the 125W fast charging technology which the company calls ‘flash charge’. Xiaomi and OnePlus are also believed to be working on their own fast charging technology. Considering this, it remains to be seen which company is going to unveil it and launch it with their smartphones next.
Realme’s upcoming fast charging tech is rumoured to be called ‘125W UltraDART’. Both the GT Master Edition and GT handsets come with 65W chargers that can charge the phone to 50% within 15 minutes.
