Redmi 12C smartphone with 50MP camera, 5000mAh battery launched – Times of India

Xiaomi launched the Redmi K60 recently in China. Now the company launched a new budget Redmi smartphone — Redmi 12C in China. The affordable Redmi smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and sports an HD+ display. Redmi 12C runs Android 12 and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery.
Redmi 12C comes with a starting price tag of 699 yuan (Rs 8,370) and it comes in Shadow Black, Dark Blue, Mint Green and Lavender colour options. The smartphone is already up for sale in the region. Xiaomi has not yet revealed any details about the India launch of the smartphone.
Redmi 12C specifications
Redmi 12C comes with a 6.71-inch HD+ display with 720×1650 pixel resolution.
The budget smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM.
Redmi 12C comes in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB. Users can further expand the storage up to 512GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone runs the Android 12 operating system with MIUI 13 on top.

Redmi 12C comes with dual SIM support and sports a dual rear camera. The rear camera comprises a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
Front is home to a 5MP selfie camera.
Redmi 12C comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition launched
Recently, Redmi has expanded its smartphone lineup with the addition of the Redmi Note Pro Speed Edition. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G processor. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition packs 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It runs the MIUI 14 operating system based on Android 13.
