Redmi phone with Snapdragon 870 and 120Hz OLED screen leaks online – Times of India

Xiaomi is working on a Redmi smartphone with 120Hz OLED screen and Snapdragon 870. According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi’s next Redmi phone may feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen with full HD+ resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The handset is also expected to come with 100watt fast charging support. While the leakster does not reveal the name of the device, it could be one of the models under the Redmi K50 series.
The mysterious Redmi smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. The phone’s display may offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone is tipped to come with a 50MP camera on the back.
The tipster, in another post, states that an upcoming Redmi phone may be equipped with dual speakers and may come with IP68 rating. This means that the phone will be resistant to both water and dust. It must be noted that the leakster does not specify that the specifications are of the same phones.
As mentioned above, the phone in question are speculated to be model under Redmi K50 series. Xiaomi has not made any official announcement related to the launch though. To recall, the Redmi K40 series phones were launched earlier this year. The series consists of Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro. It is likely that the Redmi K50 series too may offer the regular Redmi K50 along with Redmi K50 Pro.
Meanwhile, the smartphone major is all set to launch its Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro in China on September 15. While the 11T is expected to be powered by MediaTek processor, the 11T Pro is rumoured to come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
