Reliance Jio Rs 750 plan now costs Rs 1 less, here’s what has changed for users – Times of India

Reliance Jio introduced a new prepaid plan of Rs 750 back in August for its customers. The plan offered 90 days validity, 2GB of daily data unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. However, the company has silently discontinued the plan and has replaced it with Rs 749 prepaid plan, according to a TelecomTalk report.
The Rs 749 prepaid plan costs just Rs 1 less, but it retains almost similar benefits as the older plan, with just one difference. Here’s what the new Rs 749 prepaid plan offers.
Reliance Jio Rs 749 prepaid plan: Details
The Rs 749 prepaid plan is now available for all Jio Prepaid customers but it isn’t essentially an all-new plan. Sure, it comes with 90 days of validity, 2GB daily data and 100 SMS per day. Along with this, it also includes all the Jio apps and services such as JioCienema, JioTV, etc same as the Rs 750 plan.
However, the plan now does not include the 100MB additional data for Rs 1 that the Rs 750 prepaid plan used to offer. The Rs 749 prepaid plan does not include that additional 100MB of data and it appears that why the company has reduced the amount of Rs 1 from the older plan.
How does the Rs 749 prepaid plan compare to the other similar plans?
Reliance Jio has a bunch of prepaid plans on offer that come with a 2GB per day data limit. However, the plan that comes closest to the Rs 749 plan is Rs 719. Benefit-wise, the Rs 719 plan offers unlimited calling, 100SMS per day and 2GB daily data. It appears to offer good value for money. However, it comes with 84 days of validity compared to the 90 days of the Rs 750 plan. So users are getting around 6 days of extra validity for additional Rs 30.
