Samsung to soon roll out Android 12 update of Galaxy S21 series smartphones: Here’s how to download – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Samsung rolled out the Android 12 beta update for its flagship Galaxy S21 series of smartphones last month. Now, it appears that the company is all set to launch the stable update of the operating system for its Galaxy S21 series. This means that the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra users will soon be able to experience Android 12 on their smartphones.
According to a report by 9to5Google, a Samsung employee has revealed that the company has wrapped Android 12 beta for Galaxy S21 family and will now be rolling out a stable update.
A Beta Operations Manager on Samsung’s forum in Korea confirmed that the company has no plans to launch a fifth Android 12 beta on the Galaxy S21. On the other hand, the company will completely focus on the stable rollout of Android 12 operating system on its devices. With the stable roll out the company will remove the last few bugs found in the fourth beta.
With the Android 12 update, the Samsung smartphones will also receive the new Samsung One UI 4.0 update. With the One UI 4.0, users will get improved stock apps, Material You dynamic colour themes, lock screen widgets, dedicated quick settings toggles for switching off camera and microphone access and new widget designs. The update is also claimed to enhance the security and privacy of the devices.
How to download Android 12 on your Samsung phone
You have to go to the Settings app on your smartphone. After this, you have to scroll down to the System Update option. Now tap on System Updates and see whether you have received the update or not. If you have received the update, then tap on download and install. The company advises the users to backup their data before downloading the update.
Other Samsung smartphones getting Android 12 Beta update
Meanwhile, Samsung has also started rolling out the Android 12 beta program for its Galaxy S20 devices. According to a report by Sammobile, Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta program is being readied for the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra devices. The post also adds that One UI 3.1 with firmware version ending on EUI4 will be the last Android 11-based update to come to these smartphones.
The One UI 4.0 beta program is reportedly expected to be opened by the end of November 2021. The first countries to get the update will be the US, UK, China, Germany, India, and South Korea, with more countries to be added later on.
