Shilpa Shetty in splits as son Viaan takes over ‘Sunday binge’ and mimics her expressions, watch

Shilpa Shetty’s son Viaan Raj Kundra took over her famous Sunday Binge segment and did a good job at mimicking her reactions as he enjoyed a serving of vegan chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream. The actor, on Sunday, shared a video in which she revealed that the they had baked the cookies at home.

The cookies were fresh out of the oven when Shilpa Shetty began filming. Soon, Viaan placed a scoop of ice cream between two cookies and devoured the dessert while Shilpa recorded his reactions. “This is the life,” she’s heard saying behind the camera, while Viaan rolled his eyes and focusing on the cookie, similar to Shilpa’s style when she would record Sunday Binge videos. He also announced, in his mother’s trademark style “Sunday binge,” leaving Shilpa in splits.

Shilpa shared the video with the caption, “#sundaybinge with Son on a Sunday Made healthy Vegan choc chip cookies today and filled it with Vanilla icecream . Yummy !! Cookie Icecream sandwich was polished in under a minute Ps: Will post the recipe on Thursday Vegan oatchoc cookie without any refined sugar or flour.”

Before the Covid-19 pandemic began, Shilpa would post a video every Sunday in which she was seen enjoying a mouth-watering cheat meal. However, since the pandemic began, Shilpa had to bring the Sunday tradition to a halt.

Shilpa is set to make her acting comeback after more than a decade with Hungama 2, which will be out on Disney+ Hotstar on July 23. In the movie, she plays Paresh Rawal’s character’s wife. Shilpa also made headlines as she and her co-star Meezaan recreated her iconic number Chura Ke Dil Mera, from the 1994 film Main Khiladi Tu Anari, for Hungama 2.

Meezaan had recently revealed that Shilpa’s son enjoyed the new version more than the original song. “I remember I saw the song at the screening we had in Juhu and I was sitting with my family and Shilpa ji’s family was also there and her son Viaan was also present. I could hear Viaan tell ‘mom, I love this song way better than the original and you are looking way better than the original’. And I thought, exactly! If this kid thinks that, then it’s true because today’s generation is my audience, the viewers who probably haven’t even seen the original,” he said, speaking with DNA.
