Sisense Layoffs: Software firm Sisense to reportedly lay off 15% of workforce – Times of India

Sisense is the latest software company to join the list of companies that are cutting jobs. According to a report on the Israeli-based website Calcalist, Sisense will lay off about 15% of its workforce, or 150 employees. The layoffs are said to affect employees across all departments, that includes the Israeli headquarters, which employs 150 people. In addition to the layoffs, the software company has been through a series of developments, including the departure of senior executives last year, a small round of layoffs, and a hiring freeze.
“Like any responsible company during this period, and in order to maintain the growth and level of profitability that we have sustained for a significant period of time, we realised that efficiency measures are necessary within the company. We are committed to helping the employees who are leaving find their next workplace, and providing them with all the support they need during this challenging period,” said Ariel Katz, Sisense CEO.
In 2022, Sisense sacked 800 employees, and many of the company’s early employees quit. Apart from reducing its workforce, the company, according to the report, also changed its business focus multiple times. It shifted from developing analytics tools for businesses to focusing on large enterprises, and then decided to work on integrating analytics tools into other corporate software, the report added.
By April end, the company appointed Ariel Katz as the CEO who had joined earlier as chief products and technology officer and general manager of Israel.
Amdocs lays off 2,000 employees
Amdocs is laying off around 2,000 employees or 6.5% of its workforce. Earlier this year, Amdocs laid off around 700 employees, representing 3% of the total workforce, in its first round of layoffs.
“Amdocs, like other leading global companies, continually assesses the global macroeconomic conditions and takes appropriate measures to ensure sustained growth. As part of this, we periodically initiate efficiency processes while maintaining investments in areas of growth, in line with our strategic plan,” Amdocs wrote in a statement.
