Sony India has launched the new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers in India at a price tag of Rs 47,990. The speakers are compatible with the HT-A7000 premium soundbar and will be available across all Sony Centers, major electronic stores and e-commerce portals in India from August 18, 2022.
As per Sony, these speakers are designed using an Omnidirectional Block concept to match Sony’s HT-A7000 soundbar. The cylindrical shape represents a single solid block and its flat rear surface is designed to fit properly against a wall.
The Sony SA-RS5 features up-firing speakers to reflect the sound off the ceiling to deliver overhead audio while there are woofers and soft dome tweeters to expand the sound. The dual passive radiators are designed to enhance low-end tones, and thus boost the bass.
The SA-RS5 comes with optimise buttons and dual microphones in each speaker. Users can activate Sound Field optimisation by pressing the optimise button on the unit and the speakers combined with an HT-A7000 soundbar will intelligently measure the distance between the speakers and ceiling using dual microphones, claims Sony.
Battery life
The speakers offer up to 10 hours of battery life when fully charged, claims Sony. The speakers can be charged out of sight and powered up to automatically make a wireless connection with the HT-A7000 soundbar. Sony further claimed that just 10 minutes of charge will give 90 minutes of use. SA-RS5 rear speakers also feature AC power connections for dual use.
