Sony ZV-E10 mirrorless camera launched for YouTubers and content creators – Times of India

Sony has launched the new Sony ZV-E10 portable mirrorless camera with a feature-set optimised for vloggers and content creators. This APS-C-format camera comes with an updated physical design, intuitive handling and connectivity, and improved audio recording.
Sony is positioning the ZV-E10 between its popular compact ZV-1 vlogging camera and APS-C mirrorless cameras, such as the a6400. In terms of specs, the ZV-E10 sports an APS-C-format 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor with an improved sensitivity up to ISO 32000 and low noise for a clean image quality with a wide dynamic range. The sensor’s design also incorporates a 425-point Fast Hybrid AF system, with Real-time Eye AF and Real-time subject tracking. Other features include specialised shooting modes like Face Priority AE and Soft Skin Effect.
The sensor pairs with the BIONZ X image processor, too, which helps to achieve fast 11 fps continuous shooting as well as UHD 4K 30p video recording with full pixel readout and 6K oversampling. HD recording is supported at up to 120p with full-time AF and AE, and electronic image stabilization is also available to help steady shaky footage. Also, there’s S-Log3 gamma that can be used for improved dynamic range control and easier color grading adjustment during post-production.
The Sony ZV-E10 focuses on audio recording and comes with a built-in directional 3-capsule microphone and a windscreen for clear ambient recording. The Multi-Interface Shoe also supports a digital audio interface, is compatible with a variety of Multi-Interface Shoe-mounted external mics, and has both 3.5mm mic and headphone ports.
For vlogging, there’s a dedicated Background Defocus button and a Product Showcase setting, both of which help to achieve commonly used effects in a simple and direct manner. The camera also has a vari-angle screen that flips out to the side for easy front-facing recording that doesn’t interfere with mic attachment.
There’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, along with UVC and UAC standard support for use as a webcam by simply connecting the camera to a computer or mobile via USB-C.
