SplashLearn student login

There are two ways students can access SplashLearn: with a class code or through parent access. A class code is the digit code teachers generate for the classes they create on SplashLearn. Students can sign up and use the generated 6 digit class code to join. Once in, they can select their profile and enter their passwords. From the students dashboard, students can access My To-Dos card assigned by the teacher. My To-Do’s include both Home assignments and Classroom assignments.

What is Home Access and how to enable it for students?

Home Access is a feature that several game-based platforms (e.g., Quizalize, Kahoot, Quizlet, Blooket, and Quizizz) use to allow students to work on their assignments at home and at their own pace.

Home Access is a key feature in SlashLearn and can be used to both supplement the teaching the takes place in class and to engage parents in students learning through shared reports. Home Access also enables parents to access teacher assigned content for students.  To enable Home Access, head over to your SplashLearn teacher account and click on Home Access tab. Next, enter the email address of the student’s parents and click to send the Home Access Invite link.

How to create assignments on SplashLearn?

Assignments are especially useful for giving students more opportunities to practice and master a given skill. To create a new assignment, teachers log in to their teacher account, click on Assign, and select New Assignment. Choose from the curriculum-aligned assignments and click on Assess.

Depending on the purpose of your assignment, SplashLearn gives you the option to assign tasks to selected students (e.g., those who need help with practicing certain skill)  or the entire class. Teachers can keep track of assigned activities. They can monitor the class progress on assigned activities and they can also re-assign, edit or delete assignments.

How to assign assessments?

The assessment feature in SplashLearn allows teachers to identify learning gaps at a particular skill level and to evaluate students understanding of the taught materials. Teachers can use assessment reports to differentiate teaching/learning and design personalized intervention plans.

To assign an assessment, log in to your teacher account, click on Assess on the left hand side. Select New Assessment and choose from the options there. Assessment covers key math areas including addition, subtraction, measurement and data, counting and cadinality, and geometry.

Classroom reports

SplashLearn offers three types of reports: Daily activity report, Class progress, and Student progress. In the Daily activity reports, teachers can access detailed stats about students activities in SplashLearn class including who logged in and who was absent, ‘how much time they spent learning, what they learned, and how well they did it’.

Student progress report  provides insights about each student’s progress helping teachers identify learning gaps and in planning for individualized remedial work. The Classroom progress reports enables teachers to  monitor the performance of whole class. Teachers can also email students reports to parents and allow them to keep track of their kids learning progress. To do so, teachers need to add parents email addresses to respective students.

What are SplashLearn Teaching Tools?

SplashLearn offers a wide variety of interactive teaching tools to boost your classroom  teaching (and remote instruction). “From a virtual ruler to teach measurement to an interactive clock to introduce the skill of telling time to your students, there are a host of tools to help with your classroom instruction”.
