Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.93% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 02:40PM (IST) on Friday in an upbeat market.

Prestige Estates Projects (up 4.08 per cent), DLF (up 3.63 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 3.11 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 2.2 per cent) and Godrej Properties (up 1.55 per cent) were among the top gainers.

SOBHA (down 1.34 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (down 1.08 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 0.55 per cent), Hemisphere Properties India (down 0.49 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (down 0.43 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.93 per cent at 400.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 7.75 points at 15931.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 2.13 points at 53160.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NALCO, Bank of Baroda and Wipro were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Angel Broking, Datamatics Glob, Firstsource, RPP Infra Proj and Motilal Oswal hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Walpar Nutritions Ltd. and Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
