Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of MPS Infotecnics, Hindprakash Industri, Aban Offshore, Kirloskar Elec and Essar Shipping, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:14AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 73.35 points to 17968.55 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Jiya Eco Products Lt, Jainam Ferro Alloys(I)Ltd., Coastal Corp and Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 41 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 9 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, Coal India Ltd, Maruti Suzuki, NTPC and Eicher Motors were among top gainers, while TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Bharti Airtel and HCL Tech traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 182.45 points up at 60241.51 at 10:14AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Diversified, Auto, Mining, Leather and Metals – Ferrous sectors, while selling was visible in Textiles, Learning & Education, Telecommunications, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Services sectors.
