Tamil and Telugu film industries’ actor Trisha and music director Thaman down with Covid

Chennai, January 8

One of the top actresses and music directors in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, actress Trisha and music director Thaman, have announced that they has tested positive for Covid-19.

The actress, who went to London to celebrate the New Year, took to social media to make the announcement.

She said, “Despite taking all the precautions and safety measures, I tested positive just a little before the New Year. You name the symptoms, I had it.

Here’s her note:

“Even though it was one of my most harrowing weeks, I am recovering and feel better today, thanks to my vaccinations.

“I request everyone to do the same and mask up. Hope to clear my tests and fly back home soon. My heartfelt thanks to the best family and friends I have and for all the prayers.”

Taking to social media, Thaman said, “Hello all, I have tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms, despite taking all the necessary precautions and being double vaccinated.

“I have quarantined myself and am following safety protocols under the advice of my doctors.

Ironically, only a day before, Thaman had responded to Telugu actor Mahesh Babu’s announcement that he had tested positive for Covid with words of positivity and encouragement.
