The next Apple Watch could come in this new colour option, may feature flat design – Times of India

The next generation Apple Watch could come in a green colour option, claims a report by CultofMac, based upon a rumour shared by Apple tipster Jon Prosser during his Genius Bar podcast. The device could also feature a new, flat-edged design, as per the claims of the tipster.
If the next Apple Watch, which would most probably be titled as the Apple Watch Series 7, turns out to have flatter edges, it would be a “more subtle” design change, as per the tipster. Apple wouldn’t want the flat design to be sharper at the edges more than that is required. Before Prosser, TF Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo had also predicted that the 2021 Apple Watch will undergo a “significant form factor design change”. The flat design could be a part of a design overhaul of the Apple products as the iPhone 12, iPad Pro and iPad Air were launched with the similar design aesthetics.
Coming to the other expected features of the next Apple Watch, many rumours have suggested that Apple is planning to incorporate glucose monitoring in Apple Watch 7, which the company itself has hinted at. As reported by 9to5Mac, Apple mentioned the feature in one of its regular surveys. The Cupertino-based tech giant already offers important features like ECG and SpO2 monitoring in its smartwatch.
The report revealed that the survey asks users about any apps that they have installed to track their eating habits, medications and blood glucose levels. This indicates that the company is thinking of introducing blood glucose monitoring systems in the smartwatch. Blood glucose level monitoring is a feature that is high on anticipation as the number of people suffering from diabetes across the world have been increasing only.
