A modified Google Drive Android app
The ability to open multiple windows at the same time is yet another useful feature which Google has integrated into Google Drive. For instance, users can open two separate folders in two different windows and keep them side-by-side to drag and drop files from one window to another which makes importing multimedia content much faster. It can be done either in the two-window or single-app view.

Users can drag and drop files into Drive to upload them. It can also be done by dragging files out of the Drive and dropping them into other apps.
When you drag a file out of Drive, you will paste a link to the file in the other app.
Keep in mind that the device must run Android Nougat or a later version and be in split-screen mode.
Do note that all apps do not support drag-and-drop features.

  • Tap and hold the file.
  • Drag the item into another Android app.
  • Lift your finger to drop the item.

Full mouse support on Google Docs Android app
Furthermore, the Google Docs app has been updated with full mouse support on Android. It will allow users to select text by clicking and dragging it instead of scrolling through the entire document.
