This iPhone 13 can stop bullets – Times of India

Luxury brand Caviar is ready with a new Stealth iPhone series, after unveiling an iPhone 12 one last year. This time, the company is calling it the Stealth 2.0 iPhone 13 series and the speciality of these iPhones is that they have a layer of armour on them that can stop bullets. The Stealth version 2.0 iPhones come protected with BR-2 class 2 bulletproof armor by NPO TCIT that specialises in armoured vehicles and combat helicopters.
The company showcased the test phase of the new iPhones with different pistol shots. It has, however, strongly advised people not to try the test themselves. In the video, it is seen that the iPhone body was able to absorb the full impact of the bullet and received a bullet shaped deep scratch and the display coming out of the phone upon the bullet’s impact. But the phone did not allow the bullet to pass through. The company claims that in the event of an actual shooting, the Stealth version 2.0 iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max may just allow the victim to escape with a bruise. Also worth noting is that the phone may be able to stop only two pistol shots. You can see the shooting test here.

Caviar will produce only 99 units of these iPhones. The price starts with $6,370 (around Rs 4,86,540) and the highest it has gone is $7,980 for the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB storage. Clearly, these iPhones are meant for the wealthy who would want to show off such a device, provided they get a chance to grab them first as there will be only 99 models available for purchase.
