Three MSC Student-Athletes Earn CoSIDA NAIA Softball Academic All-District Team Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A total of three Mid-South Conference softball student-athletes were named to the CoSIDA NAIA Academic All-District Team, the national organization announced
Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Annabelle Ramirez and Lyric Houston and Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Hailey Wood are listed on the NAIA District 2 team which consists of schools from (AR, IL, IN, KY, LA, MS, TN).
Ramirez is a senior mathematics major with a 3.47 grade point average. Houston is a senior with a 3.33 GPA majoring in business administration. Wood is a sophomore biology major with a 3.84 GPA.
The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First and second team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late July.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
