Three MSC Teams Qualify for NAIA Women’s Golf Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cumberlands (Ky.), Cumberland (Tenn.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) earned bids into the NAIA Women’s Golf Championship, the national office announced.
The 26th annual event will take place at Rose Creek Golf Course in Oklahoma City, Okla. May 25-28.
With the release of the national qualifiers, the final national coaches’ poll was also released.
Caumberlands earned its automatic bid by winning the MSC Women’s Golf championship. The Patriots are seventh in the final coaches’ poll earning 434 points.
Cumberland and Lindsey Wilson each received at-large bids into the national championship. The Blue Raiders are ranked 18th in the final poll while the Phoenix come in at No. 20
Campbellsville (Ky.) did not make the championship field but did come in at No. 23 in the poll. The Tigers’ Gracie Parrott qualified as individual after earning medalist honors at the MSC Women’s Golf Championship last week.
The 156-player field consists of 20 automatic qualifying teams, which won or finished runner-up in their respective conference, independent or unaffiliated group tournament, one host berth to Oklahoma City and ten at-large team berths.
