Three MSC Teams Selected in the NAIA Football Playoff Championship Series

NAIA FCS First Round Pairings | NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The final NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll was announced Sunday evening, solidifying the NAIA Football Championship Series. The 16-team NAIA Football Playoff consists of automatic qualifiers and at-large teams.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), Keiser (Fla.) and Reinhardt (Ga.) each received an automatic bid.
The full field features 12 automatic qualifiers and four at-large berths. In order to qualify for an automatic bid, teams must win their conference regular-season title. At-large berths were determined by the NAIA Football National Selection Committee. Teams earning an at-large berth must be ranked in the Top 20 of the final NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 poll.
Lindsey Wilson finished at No. 1 in the country after a perfect 10-0 record and the Mid-South Bluegrass crown. The Blue Raiders are the defending national champions and will host Montana Western on Saturday.
Reinhardt claims the Mid-South Appalachian automatic bid and is the No. 6 team in the country. Keiser earned the Mid-South Sun automatic bid and come in at No. 11 in the final ranking. Reinhardt will host Keiser in the first round on Saturday.
Georgetown (Ky.) and Faulkner (Ala.) are ranked in the final poll but did not qualify for the playoffs. The Tigers earned 205 points to place 15th while the Eagles garnered 38 points and are No. 24.
Southeastern (Fla.) was mentioned in the receiving votes section.
The postseason kicks off on Saturday , Nov. 20, with the final championship game being played on December 18 in Durham, N.C.
