TN to form committee to conduct Class XII board exams – Times of India

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu school education department will form a committee to take steps for conducting the Class XII exams after the pandemic. The committee will also decide on the modalities for awarding marks to Class X students.

The state government cancelled the Class X exams and postponed the Class XII and XI board exams due to the pandemic.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said that the department has convened a meeting on Monday to decide on many issues including conducting exams and awarding marks.

“Due to the lockdown announced by the state government from Monday, we will take necessary permission to conduct the meeting,” he said and added that the department is planning to create a think tank with parents, schools and officials for discussing key issues.

He further said the Kalvi TV would be improved further to attract more students.
