Twitter’s Instagram-like feature ‘leaks’ again, this is what the new details tell – Times of India

Twitter has reportedly been working on a new feature that will allow users to create a list of people that can see their certain Tweets. This means that certain tweets will be visible to only select followers and not all. According to a report by Input, the micro-blogging platform is working on a feature called Flock that is quite similar to the Close Friends feature on Instagram. The feature was teased by Twitter last year along with several others such as Downvote. Reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi recently spotted the code for the Flock feature in his Twitter app. He has revealed a few new details about the feature based on the code.
According to the code discovered by Paluzzi, the feature was called ‘Trusted Friends’ initially and the company later changed the name to ‘Flock’. He has also revealed that you can choose up to 150 people to include in your Twitter Flock and users won’t be notified if you remove them from the list. Similar feature is already available on Facebook-owned WhatsApp and Instagram platforms where you can curate a list of users that can see in your Stories.
Twitter has not yet revealed any official information about this feature apart from the tease in July last year. At that time, the company also gave a glimpse at the user interface of Flock. Although it is not yet known when the feature will be rolled out, the code in the app hints that we may get our hands on the feature soon.
Earlier this month Twitter also announced that it has started testing a new feature for iPhone users. The “Quote Tweet with reaction” feature allows users to retweet a post and add their own video reaction with it by using the camera. The new feature was revealed by the company through a Twitter post.
