The Covid-19 vaccine requirement for inbound international travelers to the U.S. will end after May 11, the White House announced.
The date coincides with the Biden administration’s scheduled end of the Covid-19 public health emergency and also marks the end of the vaccine requirement for federal employees and contractors, according to a White House announcement. U.S. Travel Association president and CEO Geoff Freeman in a statement said the end of the requirement “eases a significant entry barrier for many global travelers, moving our industry and country forward.”
The White House said the Health and Human Service and Homeland Security departments also are ending vaccine requirements for noncitizen arrivals at U.S. ports and land borders.
