United Airlines will resume its nonstop San Francisco-Melbourne service in June with three weekly flights, the carrier announced Monday. United initially launched the route in October 2019, months prior to the onset of the pandemic. In December, United and Virgin Australia announced a new partnership that would include codeshare flights for increased connectivity in Australia.
