UP Board 10th exam 2021 cancelled, 12th exam to be held in July 2nd week
Uttar Pradesh government has decided to cancel UP Board Exams 2021 for Class 10 this year and conduct Class 12 exams in July. The Class 12 board exams will be conducted in the second week of July if the circumstances are normal. The time duration of the examination for Class 12 will be one and a half hours and 3 questions out of 10.
UP deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said on Saturday that the state board high school or class 10 exam has been cancelled and class 12 board exam is proposed in second week of July if covid situation eases out. He also said that the intermediate exam duration will be reduced to 90 minutes and students will have to write three questions out of 10. He further said that students of class 6, 7, 8, 9 & 11 will be promoted to next level.
Sharma had recently said that any decision on the conduct of the Intermediate exam will be taken after analyzing the COVID19 situation and discussing it with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. “We have already printed the papers, made sets of decoded copies, & allocated 8,513 centers to follow social distancing during examinations. We’re analysing COVID situation. We’ll discuss with CM & final decision will likely be taken by end of this month,” Sharma had said.
This year, 29,94,312 examinees, including 16,74,022 boys and 13,20,290 girls, are registered for the UP board high school exam. Similarly, 26,09,501 examinees, including 14,73,771 boys and 11,35,730 girls, are registered for the UP board intermediate exam.
