Valorant Announces Widejoy Mode on April Fools Day

Riot Games reveals the Valorant Widejoy mode as a brand new playlist, where you will get to fight against the ultra-wide Killjoy!

It’s the first day of April, and you pretty much what that means! While video game developers and publishers try to compete against each other to deliver the best gaming experiences, on April Fools Day they compete on delivering the biggest fake news!

Valorant Widejoy Is Back in a New Dedicated Mode!

With the arrival of Widejoy mode, Riot Games gives Killjoy fans the opportunity to pick the wide version of this character, while others remain at their tiny size. Functioning almost like a shield for your teammates, you can go guns-blazing with Widejoy while your tiny friends hide behind you, seeking an opportunity to surprise the opponents.

That being said, being Widejoy will somehow limit your options in moving as you won’t be able to path through the narrow doors and passages.

Unfortunately, Riot Games has not revealed when this mode will be available yet, but it doesn’t matter. We already know this is never ever going to launch! That’s just how April Fools jokes work.

In case you don’t know, Widejoy is a reference to an infamous bug in Valorant when Killjoy’s banner on the loading screen was shown on an extra-wide scale. The bug soon turned into a meme, and Riot released a banner of Widejoy after fixing the bug!

Valorant is now available for free on PC. You can download and play it through Riot Games Launcher.
