Vancouver-based A&R company Reliant Music expands into Europe – Music Business Worldwide

Vancouver-headquartered Reliant Music, an independent A&R and “song management” company, has announced plans to open offices in Amsterdam.

Reliant Music, founded in 2012, has been responsible for toplines recorded by DJ/producers including Armin van Buuren, Nicky Romero, Yves V, W&W, R3HAB, and Timmy Trumpet, as well as other popular acts such as The Strumbellas.

The company’s President is John Dexter, a songwriter, producer, A&R executive, and former co-manager of Carly Rae Jepsen (whose Call Me Maybe sold over 21 million singles worldwide).

Reliant Music Europe will be led by Angelique Pattikawa-Thenu as Vice President, A&R. Pattikawa-Thenu spent 13 years as label manager at Spinnin’ Records and prior to that was a creative executive at peermusic Holland.

Over the past decade, Reliant writer/producers have also placed singles with acts such as Paul Oakenfold, Kaskade, DJ Unity (China), Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, and Smash Mouth.
