Viral Now: Pakistan Minister Says ‘Garlic Is Adrak’, Cracks Up Twitter
Garlic, ginger, onion and tomato are some of the staple ingredients of south Asian cuisines. Although expert cooks are extremely familiar with their usage and nomenclature, other novice chefs may be left confused between them. In a recent video that surfaced on social media, a major naming goof-up by a Pakistan minister was caught on camera. The minister was trying to recall the Hindi name for garlic, and instead of saying ‘Lehsun’, he said, “Garlic is Adrak”. Twitter users were left in splits after seeing the funny faux pas which soon went viral on the micro-blogging platform. Take a look:

The 22-second video was from a press conference where rising prices of vegetables and ingredients were being discussed.
