Vivo Y21T released in Indonesia ahead of India launch: Key features – Times of India

Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has added another affordable smartphone to its budget Y series. The new Vivo Y21T comes with a water drop-style display notch and triple camera setup in the back. This smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and supports 18W fast charging. The smartphone will be available in two colour variants and in a single storage configuration. Vivo Y21T is also expected to launch in India soon with some tweaks in the configuration.
Vivo Y21T price and availability
The Vivo Y21T comes in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant in Indonesia that has a price tag of IDR 3,099,000 (almost around Rs 16,200). The phone is available for pre-orders in Indonesia in two colour options — Midnight Blue and Pearl White. There is no official confirmation about this smartphone getting launched in India yet, but it is expected to be launched in the country.
Vivo Y21T key specifications
The Vivo Y21T sports a 6.51-inch HD+ display that supports a 720×1,600 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The device also uses the built-in storage to virtually expand the RAM to up to 2GB.
The smartphone has a triple camera setup on the rear which houses a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro lens and another 2MP depth sensor. It is also equipped with an 8MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
The Vivo Y21T comes with 128GB in-built storage that can be expanded upto 1TB with a microSD card. For connectivity, it has 4G LTE, Bluetooth version 5.0, Wi-Fi, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11 and has dual Nano SIM card slots. Other on-board sensors include — accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. It is also equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication.
