Vodafone and EE offer big boost for customers with half-price deals and extra data

EE and Vodafone customers, who aren’t tied into a contract, might want to check out the latest SIM deals from the UK networks. The two firms currently have some very tempting discounts with EE upping the amount of data available on its entry-level plan to a whopping 160GB (was 120GB) and Vodafone giving its users a massive 50 percent off when signing up to a new plan.

All of the deals from EE and Vodafone include access to the latest and greatest 5G data speeds which allow compatible phones to download files at speed in excess of 300Mbps – that’s around four times faster than the UK’s average fixed-line broadband.

If EE is your favoured network then you can sign up now to get that 160GB of 5G-ready data for just £20 per month.

This also includes unlimited calls and texts and is based on a 24-month deal. For £5 more you can also add an EE Smart Benefit which includes access to services such as Apple Music, BT Sport, Apple TV+ and free data roaming when you head abroad.

Those that prefer Vodafone’s network can also get a bargain with the company currently offering unlimited 5G for half the usual price. These deals last for six months before customers will then go back to paying the standard rate.

Here are all the half-price deals available from Vodafone.

Unlimited LITE- Max download speeds 2Mbps
£11 per month for the first six months

Unlimited – Max download speeds 10Mbps
£13 per month for the first six months

Unlimited MAX – No limit of download speed
£15 per month for the first six months

The only thing that you should be aware of before signing up is Vodafone and EE’s new data roaming charges.

Anyone taking out a new deal will be hit by these fees next year which cost £2 per day when using devices in places such as Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Germany.

If you don’t sign up for a new plan then these roaming charges won’t apply so it’s worth considering how often you think you’ll travel before committing to a new contract.
