WATCH: Shimron Hetmyer grabs a fine running catch on boundary ropes to get rid of Jason Roy | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Royals’ Shimron Hetmyer has been in the thick of action when it comes to taking catches and this time too he came up with a fine running catch to get rid of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opener Jason Roy in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the third over of the innings when Roy flicked RR pacer Trent Boult’s slower one and it was going well over the ropes but an athletic Hetmyer came running across from deep square leg before timing his jump to perfection. And held onto a beauty while balancing himself and ensuring that he didn’t step onto the ropes.

Earlier, RR skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and put KKR into bat in their must-win IPL clash.
Kiwi speedster Boult returned replacing left-arm speedster Kuldip Yadav, while KM Asif was brought in for Murugan Ashwin in two changes for RR.

KKR opted for a three-pronged spin attack including left-arm spinner Anukul Roy in place of seamer Vaibhav Arora.
