Blockchain advocate and WazirX co-founder Nischal Shetty is busy building his latest venture, Shardeum, as a global brand. In an interaction with ET Prime, he talks about the WazirX-Binance issue and shares insights on the evolving regulatory landscape and the way ahead for Shardeum.

Nischal Shetty started his cryptocurrency journey when he co-founded WazirX in 2017. Soon, it became one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the country by trading volumes. While the 2021 bull run and the subsequent crypto winter of 2022 brought the sector into the spotlight, Shetty made headlines for other reasons. He launched layer-1 blockchain project Shardeum, with his co-founder Omar Syed in February 2022 and reportedly stepped down
