WhatsApp reportedly making it easier to search for a message in chats – Times of India

WhatsApp has reportedly started to roll out new useful features for users with Business accounts. As per a report by WABetaInfo, the new features will allow Business account users to filter chats and messages using advanced search filters. The Facebook owned platform is currently releasing new advanced search filters for users with the latest beta version of WhatsApp Business for Android and iOS.
WhatsApp Business beta users will now be able to see three new options when they search for chats and messages – Contacts, Non-contacts, and Unread. The report further mentions that users combine different filters to get better search results. For example, the feature will allow users to search for photos from non-contacts by using two separate filters. According to the report, the company will only stay limited to Business account users only. It is not yet known when the feature will be available for non-beta users but it is expected that it will be available with upcoming updates in the coming weeks.
The company is also reportedly planning to roll out a new section under search for non-Business account users. According to a previous report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will soon add a “Businesses Nearby” section that will allow users to search for businesses near their location that are on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is also redesigning the message notifications for iOS users. According to the screenshots shared by WABetainfo, Group message notifications will mention if someone has replied to your message or if someone has mentioned you in the message on the Group along with a short message preview and Group name. The report speciality mentioned that the feature is only available for Group chats and the company has not enabled this feature for individual chats. The Facebook-owned platform has also reportedly started to roll out a feature for iPhone users that will allow them to see profile images of senders along with the message notifications.
