WhatsApp is testing a new feature for WhatsApp business beta users. The company has started rolling out another new tool for businesses. The new tool allows users to add more information about the author in their outgoing messages.
The feature is currently rolling out the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS and Desktop clients, according to WABetaInfo. The new feature extends the previously released renaming linked devices feature.
As per the screenshots, each WhatsApp outgoing message will carry the device name using which the message was sent. The information will be available within the Info section for that particular message.
For instance, if the message is sent using the device named Windows, then it will show the name under Info. If the message is sent using the primary device, it will show the Admin tag.
It is important to note that these are the features meant for WhatsApp Business users and they will only arrive on the WhatsApp Business app and won’t be available on the regular WhatsApp apps.
For those unaware, WhatsApp has just rolled out bigger group support. Going forward, WhatsApp users will allow users to add up to 512 participants in groups. The feature is available for both Android and iOS versions of the app.
