Whatsapp Voice Feature: WhatsApp is making voice messages better with this new feature – Times of India

WhatsApp is reportedly working on new voice notes feature that will allow you to pause a voice message while recording. According to a report by WABetainfo, the feature will soon be rolled out in a future update of WhatsApp beta for iOS and Android. After the update you can pause and continue to record a voice note without the need to record another message or send the one that you may have to interrupt.
WABetainfo has also shared a video in which it is seen how the new audio interface for Whatsapp will look like. As of now, you can only listen to the voice note you recorded before sending it. It is not yet clear when the new feature will be rolled out to all users as it is not even available to the public beta testers till now.
It looks like the company is working to revamp the entire audio interface of the app. Last week a report by 9to5Mac suggested that WhatsApp is also working on a global voice message player. The rumoured feature will allow you to listen to an audio message even after leaving the conversation, which means you can hear the voice note while replying to someone else.

Both the above-mentioned features are still under development and are not yet available to public beta testers.
Recently, WhatsApp also rolled out a new feature called Disappearing Messages. Once enabled, new messages sent in the individual or group chat will disappear after 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days. The most recent selection controls all messages in the chat. This setting won’t affect messages you previously sent or received in the chat. In an individual chat, either user can turn disappearing messages on or off. In a group chat, any group participant can turn disappearing messages on or off. However, a group admin can change group settings to allow only admins to turn disappearing messages on or off.
