The historic moment occurred on Day 2 of the second Test between India and West Indies in Port of Spain.

On the second day of the Test match, Kohli displayed his brilliance by reaching his 29th Test century in just 180 balls. His century came at a crucial juncture for the Indian team, as they had lost four wickets in a single session on Day 1 of the match. Adding to the significance of the occasion, this Test match was also the 100th encounter between India and West Indies.

What made Kohli’s century even more extraordinary was the fact that it marked his 15th Test century in overseas conditions and his first away from home since December 2018 in Perth. On his 500th international appearance, Kohli surpassed the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 75 international centuries.
