Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro variants and chipset details leaked – Times of India

Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi 12 Ultra smartphone sometime next month. This will be the company’s first phone to feature a Leica-backed camera setup. However, it seems that the company is apparently working on two other smartphones in the Xiaomi 12 series — Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro.
Tipster Mukul Sharma has dropped the variant details of the two smartphones on his official Twitter handle which reveals the storage and RAM options of the upcoming smartphones along with the chipset and fast charging details.
As far as Xiaomi 12S is concerned, the handset as per the reports, will come in three variants — 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Also, it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Talking about the Xiaomi 12S Pro, the handset is likely to launch with two different chipsets — the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and MediaTek Dimensity 9000. While the variants of the phone remain the same — 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB, the report claims that the Snapdragon version will support the 120W fast charging.
It is also important to note that the Xiaomi 12S has also surfaced on the Geekbench listing which revealed that the handset will likely get the Leica branding as well. However, there’s nothing official about the two phones, we will know more once the phones go official or more leaks start surfacing online.
