Xiaomi to launch its foldable smartphone on August 11: Details inside – Times of India

Xiaomi launched its foldable smartphone — Mi Mix Fold in March 2021. The company is now all set to launch its successor. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the company will introduce the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 smartphone on August 11 at an event. The Chinese smartphone maker is launching its foldable smartphone just a day after the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z series smartphones. For those unaware, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on August 10.
The company has also confirmed that it will also launch the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and the Buds 4 Pro at the same event.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2
Xiaomi has shared a teaser image of the upcoming Mix Fold 2 smartphone. The teaser image confirms that the smartphone will come in golden colour.
According to the leakster Digital Chat Station, the foldable smartphone is said to feature an external display of 1080×2520 pixel resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. Both the internal and external displays of the smartphone are said to come with a 120Hz refresh rate. Another online leak claims that the company has used Samsung’s E5 AMOLED screen for the external display and Samsung Eco² OLED for the internal display.
The upcoming foldable smartphone is expected to sport a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2x telephoto camera. The smartphone will also come with a Leica branded camera.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and run Android 12 operating system.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro is speculated to house a bigger display and sport a 50MP main camera.
The tablet is also expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro is confirmed to come with intelligent dynamic noise reduction and independent spatial audio support.
