You can now join Twitter Spaces from desktop and mobile browser – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Social networking giant Twitter recently introduced Spaces, its rival of live audio conversation platform Clubhouse. The company is now expanding its reach. Earlier, Twitter Spaces was only available on Android and iOS apps but now users can join Spaces directly from the desktop and mobile browser.
The company took to Twitter to announce the new change. Along with this, Twitter also highlighted three key focus areas for Spaces. First is the infrastructure and listening UI that adapts to your screen size. The second is setting reminders for scheduled spaces, and the third is accessibility and transcriptions.

Twitter also shared some screenshots to show how Spaces will look on a web browser. The Spaces UI for the web browser is very much like the mobile app version where you can see the description, hostname and the list of participants.
Twitter is busy adding new features to Spaces in order to compete with rival Clubhouse. Recently, an online report revealed that the company is planning to monetise Spaces in future.
Twitter is reportedly planning to introduce a new feature called Ticketed Spaces which will allow people to host paid live audio rooms. As reported by The Verge, over the next few weeks, Twitter will be testing the Ticketed Spaces feature with a small group of people.
The company is said to be working on the eligibility criteria as to who should be able to host Ticketed Spaces. The accounts with 1000 followers have hosted three spaces in the last 30 days and at least 18 years old will be allowed to host Ticketed Spaces.
Apart from Ticketed Spaces, Twitter is also said to be working on the ability to Co-Host Space, enable scheduling, more block labels and warnings and improved captions.
