Wayne Rooney slams PSG star Kylian Mbappe over Messi shove: I have never seen a bigger ego than this

Former England international, and one of the greatest footballers to come out of England, Wayne Rooney has expressed his displeasure at France forward Kylian Mbappe. A future star of the footballing world, Mbappe is one of the most important players in the Paris Saint-Germain and France line-up.

In PSG’s 5-2 victory over Montepellier, Mbappe was seen giving a shove with his shoulder to Lionel Messi, without caring about the Argentine forward’s presence in the pitch.

The broadcaster caught the glimpse of the moment, and it was seen that Lionel Messi was fairly displeased at Mbappe’s act but chose not to retaliate.

Reacting to the incident, Rooney slammed the French striker and reminded him that at his age, Lionel Messi already had four Ballon d’Or trophies, widely accepted as the highest individual honour in football.

“A 22-23 year old player throwing a shoulder at Messi… I have never seen a bigger ego than this in my life. Someone remind Mbappe that at 22 years old, Messi had four Ballon d’Ors,” Rooney told Depar Sports.

It needs to be noted that Kylian Mbappe has not won any Ballon d’Or trophy yet in an era dominated by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but it is expected that he will become on the of the biggest star in world football in the near future.
